Skill-Building
Along with your performance/practice time, all OBMD musicians are asked to continue working on the musicianship, but on “paper”. We will be using the website “Breezin’ Thru Theory”, which is a web-based, and IS phone friendly! Students who have NEVER taken a theory course are encouraged to start with Unit 1 and work along from there. At the end of each unit, there are drills for you to finish. We are NOT looking for your percentages (but you can work towards 100% if you want!), but we are looking for evidence of WHAT you worked on each week.
Please take a screenshot of where you ended off by each Friday at 2:15pm and post that as your evidence in your portfolio.
**If you have been taking theory/harmony classes along with your private lessons, please continue to work on your own materials! Please take a picture of your work and send that as evidence.

You DON’T need to create your own log-in, however, you will be asked to type in your name and which class you are enrolling in. (Instrumental or Choral. If you are in both types of ensembles, choose one!) They will ask you to input your information each time, so KEEP the same spelling of your name (no nicknames please, we *might* check to see how everyone is doing!)

Listening
Periodically, the directors will be posting some listening opportunities for you in the Google Classrooms. When it’s a “Listening Week” you can take a break from your Skill-Building, listen to the piece(s) posted and answer a few questions. So, keep your notifications on for your Google Classrooms.
